US Education

Lets face it. The US education system sucks. There are so many problems with this country. After these past few years I've come to realize that American education is horrible. It's not about learning anymore, it's more about "I need to pass". For example, I once heard a teacher say, "If you don't graduate, you won't be successful in life" to a student who was behind in their work. Are you kidding me? You do realize the kind of pressure you're putting on the students. I get that you're trying to help the student out, but why create the image of a successful person with a diploma? Let's talk about Richard Branson. He dropped out of high school at 15. Look at him now. Without a diploma he managed to create "Virgin group", a successful multinational corporation, who's networth was estimated  5-5.5 billion. A high school diploma gives you an advantage, but it doesn't always mean success. I'm not advising you to drop out. If you're planning to do something without the need of a diploma, go for it. Don't feel constantly pressured to complete something when in reality, you probably won't need it in the future.
